Some travelling Hacks in India

India is a country with lot of diversity with lot of helpful, trustworthy people but at the same time a lot of Scammers and fraudster wander around. They are smart enough any new person especially foreigners. Its really important to have a basic Idea of place where you are going to travel. Apart from that here are some of the tips or can say hacks which you may follow to make your journey more memorable and pleasant.

  1. Keep your wallet in the front pocket. Risk of losing it reduces.
  2. Don’t keep all the cash at same place. Distribute it in 2–3 parts. Do the same if you have multiple cards. If you lose your bag/purse, you will still have some cash/card left.
  3. Keep updating your family/friends about your location every few hours. They can find you easily, if something bad happens to you.
  4. Travel in Local transport as much as possible. You will save upto 80℅ in travelling. While travelling to Vishakapatnam, I installed Andhra bus app. It helped me catching correct buses for my route.
  5. Beware of Taxi Drivers. Usually they Loot a lot.
  6. Write down the Name/Landmark of your hotel in a piece of paper. Sometimes be independent of Mobile Phones.
  7. Also add a contact number of your closest in a paper.
  8. Don’t forget your earphones.
  9. In India, use OYO App for hotel bookings. It’s far better and cheaper than the others.
  10. Don’t feel shame in asking discounts at hotels. You may get it. Not all want to lose customers.(I asked for a discount at a hotel in Jaipur. Paid 700 instead of 900. )
  11. Download offline maps of your route. You can’t trust Network everywhere.
  12. Ask for the WiFi password if the hotel have a WiFi. You paid for it. It’s your right.
  13. Carry ID proof and its scanned copy everywhere.
  14. Ask for the Hotel Cards and keep it with yourself. Sometimes you may forget the address.
  15. Carry a Powerbank with you. It helps a lot. Charger won’t help you everywhere.
  16. Carry a pair of slippers with you. Else you will regret. Shoes may get wet sometimes.
  17. Feel free to take body wash and Lotion. Its exclusively for you.

I hope you have delightful experience while traveling in India, So that you feel the crave to visit India again as there are a lot to explore here.

Happy Journey!!
